We Are From Here

I made this work in conjunction with Lou Brodie in association with Lyra Theatre and Imaginate and the young curators project in Niddrie and Craigmillar.

It was made in response to the time I spent walking and talking with some of the young people from the area and what I learned as a result. It feels this place is in constant flux, always waiting on a master plan to regenerate the area with no action beyond the demolition of the buildings to make way for the new construction that never comes. All that remains is the redundant streetlights shining on emptiness.
