About Me:
I am a graduate of both Stevenson College and Edinburgh Napier University and has been working within the photography industry since 2007. As well as freelance work, I teach photography and have been involved in several art based youth engagement and community outreach projects. My more permanant roles include picture editor for Edinburgh International Film Festival and project assistant for Neu! Reekie!
Over the course of my photographic career I have gained experience in a variety of areas within the discipline. Whether it be commercial, press or portraiture I embark on every project with a well researched and informed foundation.
I have a relaxed yet professional approach to the way I work and prefer to keep things understated and as natural as possible. I work collaboratively with people to bring out the best in our photos and work intuitively, when shooting events and performance, to capture the defining moments.
Some of the people I have worked for:
Hunter Boots; Asda; The SNP; Stills; National Museum of Scotland; Borders Youth Theatre; Borders Arts Trust; Edinburgh Art Festival; Festivals Edinburgh; The Skinny; Unlimited Media; Kindle Design; The Leith Agency (formally Leith:Tangible); Freakworks; Hothead; Edinburgh University; Museums Galleries Scotland; The Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival; Imaginate; LeithLate; Neu! Reekie!; Edinburgh International Film Festival; Orbit Communications; Citadel Arts Group; Viewpoint; Scottish Women’s Aid; Mindroom; Lyra Theatre and lots more individual people who’s weddings and gigs and portraits and events I’ve had the pleasure of covering.
